"My clients don't need a Long-Term Care Plan because they have Medicare or Health Insurance"
Fact: A Long-Term Care (LTC) Plan is not the same as Medicare or health insurance, since both are utilized simply to cover the costs to overcome illness, disease or injury and return your clients to good health.
LTC plan benefits help support potentially costly LTC services resulting from a chronic condition or the inability to perform normal activities of daily living; including bathing, eating, getting dressed and moving around. LTC services generally are required by those who are dealing with chronic illnesses, accidents or advanced aging and are progressive, with the level of needed care growing over time.
One of the most important apsects to consider is the potential for a cognitive impairment later in life; where there could be a need for costly custodial care - also not covered by Medicare or Health Insurance.
